Cops: Argument turns into deadly shooting in Lauderdale Lakes

A Broward man was found shot dead in the parking lot of a Lauderdale Lakes apartment complex, and detectives are looking for the suspect.

Around 10 p.m. Saturday, two acquaintances had an argument in the parking lot of Town Square Apartments at Northwest 49th Avenue and 24th Court in Lauderdale Lakes. According to deputies, the men had an ongoing dispute.

When the argument escalated, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said, the shooting began. Herman Farrell, 31, is accused of shooting Sean Fleming, 34, several times and then taking off, BSO said.

Fleming died in the lot.

BSO detectives have a warrant for Farrell’s arrest. He faces one charge of first-degree murder.
