Note on dead dog’s body: ‘We beat it to death LOL!’

An investigation is underway after a missing dog was found dead in Pembroke Pines with a note attached to its body.

The 13-year old Pomeranian was let out of its home, in the 7900 block of North French Drive last Friday and never returned. On Saturday the dog’s body was found on the back porch with a handwritten note taped to it which read “WE BEAT IT 2 Death lol! (smiley face) HAHAHA!” The dog had no visible injuries.

The dog was taken to St. Francis Animal Hospital where a veterinarian’s exam found it had multiple fractures.

Pembroke Pines police said the attack appears to be an isolated incident.
