Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning following a crash involving a fire rescue vehicle and a civilian car, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue.

The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of Southwest Fourth Avenue, near the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Both people were taken to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment and remain hospitalized as of Thursday afternoon, said Battalion Chief Michael Kane. Information on their condition and what led to the crash was not immediately available.
