Two people shot, one fatally, in North Lauderdale, BSO says

Two people were shot, one fatally, in North Lauderdale Monday night, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived around 7 p.m. to the 900 block of Southwest 81st Avenue responding to reports of a shooting and found a man who had been shot. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, said BSO spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis.

Another person was found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital, St. Louis said.

The sheriff’s office has not named the victims as of Tuesday morning, and the circumstances of the shooting remained under investigation, St. Louis said.
