Father, son arrested in Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run crash that killed bicyclist: cops
A father and son from Plantation are facing charges in connection with a Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in December.
Pedro David Vasallo, 64, and his son Pedro David Vasallo II, 24, were arrested by Fort Lauderdale Police on Tuesday on arrest warrants stemming from the Dec. 14 crash that killed 58-year-old Kenneth Solovay, said Det. Ali Adamson, a spokesperson for the police department.
Vasallo II is facing one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving death; his father is facing one count of accessory after the fact, jail records show.
