2 children hospitalized for heat exhaustion at Cooper City day camp

A field day at a Cooper City summer camp ended with two children being taken to the hospital after suffering from heat exhaustion, according the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue department.

More than 150 kids were in a program at Potential Church on Stirling Road in Cooper City on Wednesday afternoon when rescue crews were called.

Six kids in total were treated, four for bumps and bruises and two were taken to the hospital, fire rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said on Twitter.

The rest of the children were taken inside to cool down int he air conditioning.
