A worker at a Davie auto parts yard was struck and killed by a front-end-loader Wednesday morning, according to police.

The incident, which police say appears to be an accident, happened at the U-Pull-It lot located at 4500 Oaks Road, around 8:40 a.m.

Initial information indicates the worker, whom police have not named, walked in front of the machine and was hit and killed, said Officer Peter Patton, a Davie police spokesman.

Detectives are investigating the incident, but Patton said there does not to appear to be any foul play.
