A man was wounded after two men opened fire at him Monday morning in Lauderhill, police said.

The shooting happened around 11 a.m. at 4051 NW 19th St., according to police.

The man, who has not been named, told officers that two people fired multiple rounds at him, hitting him once, said Lauderhill Police Lt. Antonio Gonzalez. The gunmen then ran away.

A bystander was driving him to the hospital when they spotted a Lauderhill Fire Rescue truck and flagged it down, Gonzalez said.

Paramedics took him to Broward Health Medical Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said

Gonzalez said police do not have any suspects, and the motive for the shooting was not immediately known.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Lauderhill police at 954-497-4700 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
