Argument between two men ends in shooting at a Walgreens in Broward, police say

A man was hospitalized after a dispute at a Walgreens in Broward ended in gunfire Monday morning, according to police.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. at the drug store, located at 14501 Miramar Parkway, said Miramar police spokeswoman Janice McIntosh.

“Preliminary information indicates that a dispute between two individuals escalated, leading one to open fire, striking the victim,” she added.

Information on the man’s name or condition weren’t immediately available.

As of Monday afternoon, McIntosh said police detained one person, but haven’t made any arrests.
