Man found shot to death inside Miramar home

Miramar police officers responding to reports of shots fired found a dead man inside a home Monday night.

The man was found inside a home at 2040 SW 67th Ln. around 8:15 p.m. after a neighbor called police and said they heard several gunshots, Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said.

She said one person — a man who claimed he lived in the home — was being interviewed late Monday. Police had not confirmed the identity of the victim or whether he lived in the home.

It was unclear what led to the shooting. As of late Monday, police were waiting for a warrant to collect evidence inside the home.
