Fort Lauderdale Police: Man kills sister over electric bill

A man is on the run after he allegedly killed his sister in an argument over an electric bill.

Fort Lauderdale Police said 29-year-old Jaquinda Wright got in a verbal fight with her 25-year-old brother, Willie Ward, on Friday. The two were reportedly arguing over an electric bill.

Police said the argument turned physical and Ward punched her twice in the head.

Wright collapsed and was taken to Broward Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators said Ward fled in a gold-colored vehicle.

There is an active warrant for his arrest in connection with this murder.
