A teenager was shot Tuesday night in Lauderdale Lakes, deputies say.

At about 9 p.m., reports of gunfire in the 5000 block of Northwest 36th Street came in to deputies, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and BSO fire-rescue found the teen with a gunshot wound and took him to the hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening, according to BSO.

BSO’s Violent Crimes and Crime Scene units responded to investigate.
