Boy, 14, faces manslaughter charge in Cooper City shooting death
A 14-year-old boy faces a manslaughter charge after his friend, also 14, died while they were playing with a handgun at a Cooper City home Thursday, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
Homicide detectives spent hours talking with the victim's 16-year-old brother, who was also at the home, and Eric Palacios before arresting Palacios on one count of manslaughter with a firearm, agency spokeswoman Dani Moschella said.
