Boys, ages 10 and 11, struck by car near elementary school

Two boys, ages 10 and 11, were struck by a car as they left an elementary school parking lot on a bike Tuesday evening, a Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said.

One of the boys had been standing on pegs attached to the back of the bike while the other pedaled, spokeswoman Gina Carter said. Neither had been wearing a helmet.
