Woman stabbed to death in Fort Lauderdale park

Someone stabbed a woman to death during a fight at a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood park over the weekend and then left, according to police.

The incident happened at about 6 a.m. Sunday at Sistrunk Park, 200 NW Sixth St. Police released information about the case on Monday.

Police officers responding to a report of a physical altercation found Sarah Yates, 31, with “life-threatening stab wounds,’’ according to police.

Yates was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where she died. No arrests have been made.
