Investigation underway after a man shot to death in Broward County, deputies say
A man died in the hospital after being shot Monday afternoon in Broward County, according to deputies.
The shooting happened around 12:40 p.m. at the 4100 block of Northwest 30th Terrace in Lauderdale Lakes, said Carey Codd, a spokesman with the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and BSO Fire Rescue paramedics arrived to find a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died, Codd said.
“BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units also responded and are actively investigating the circumstances regarding the incident,” Codd said.
Deputies placed nearby schools on lockdown as a precaution. That alert was lifted by 3 p.m., according to the BSO.
