Pembroke Pines man charged with sex abuse

A Pembroke Pines man was arrested over the weekend after family members told police the man — who is also a family member — had molested three young girls, according to a department press release.

Rigoberto Gonzalez, 49, now faces seven counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and was being held in police custody Monday on no bond.

According to police, officers responded to the 9800 block of Northwest 15th Street in Pembroke Pines Sunday and found Gonzalez. It is not clear what Gonzalez' relationship is to the girls, who are 5, 7 and 8.
