June is here, and so is Pride Month.

Though Fort Lauderdale celebrated Pride with a parade in February, several cities in Broward have events planned through June.

Activities are open to everyone, with some focused on LGBTQ+ history and others on music, food and celebration. You can even curl up with a book or join the community in benefiting an important cause.

Here are some ways you can join the festivities in Broward County:

Pride events in the Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale areas

Exhibit: Through June, History Fort Lauderdale’s multimedia exhibit “Take PRIDE! A Retrospective of LGBTQ Life in South Florida” is on display at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, 2414 E Sunrise Blvd.

Books: Through Jume, books and materials celebrating the LGBTQ+ community are on display at the Hollywood Branch Library, 2600 Hollywood Blvd.

Mixer: At 6 p.m June 13, Feeding South Florida will host a Pride Month mixer at Hunters Nightclub, 2232-2238 Wilton Dr. in Wilton Manors, to benefit the organization’s hunger relief efforts. Tickets are available for a $25 donation, which would help provide about 225 meals for those in need.

Parade and street festival: At 3 p.m June 17, the city of Wilton Manors’ Stonewall Pride Parade & Street Festival will be an all-day affair with performances, food and music. Pre-paid admission tickets start at $8, with more expensive tickets available for VIP tents.

Bike ride: At 12:30 p.m June 24, Cyclebar will present a “Pride Ride” benefiting Broward House, a nonprofit providing services for people by HIV and other chronic health challenges, at Cyclebar, 525 N. Federal Hwy., Suite 100, in Fort Lauderdale. If you’d like to ride, reserve a bike on the Cyclebar app or visit the website to make a $30 suggested donation.
