Fort Lauderdale traffic crash sends three to hospital with serious injuries

A two-car crash in Fort Lauderdale sent at least three people to the hospital with serious injuries and closed down an intersection.

Around 8:40 p.m., Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to a two car crash in the 2100 block of West Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale Fire Battalion Chief Garrett Pingol said.

The circumstances of the accident is not yet known, but five people were injured in the collision.

Three people suffered serious injuries but are stable and were sent to Broward General Hospital. Two others had non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The intersection where the crash occurred was closed off to traffic.
