A ‘slow-moving’ vehicle with brake failure hits 8 in Broward County, deputies say
A “slow-moving” vehicle with faulty brakes injured eight people, at least two seeing traumatic wounds, Wednesday in Lauderdale Lakes, deputies said.
Around 9:30 a.m., deputies and firefighters were called to a crash at a business in the 3500 block of Northwest 21 Street, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives learned a slow-moving vehicle hit about eight people due to its brakes failing as it was being moved.
Two people were taken as trauma alerts to the hospital, while the other six suffered minor injuries, deputies said.
