An 11-month-old baby died after being left in a car Wednesday afternoon in Lauderhill, police said.
According to Lauderhill police, the child’s mother left the baby in the car for at least an hour. The family was unloading groceries, went inside their home, and did not realize the baby had been left in the car.
The baby was taken to Plantation General Hospital, where the child was pronounced dead. Police say the family is being cooperative with their investigation. No arrests have been made. Police call it a “tragic accident.”
