Man found after plane crashes into the waters off Pompano Beach, Coast Guard says

Crews have recovered the body of a man whose plane fell into the waters off Pompano Beach, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The Coast Guard said it was notified about the downed plane by the U.S. Air Force around 6:15 p.m. Thursday. The plane was reported to have fallen about 15 miles east of Pompano Beach, according to the Coast Guard.

No other information was immediately available.
