A man’s Maserati fell into a Broward canal while he was fishing after he forgot to put his car in park, fire rescue said.
The “Oh, Florida” moment happened at a canal near the intersection of Broward Boulevard and Hiatus Road in Plantation early Thursday.
Plantation Fire Rescue said the man, who was not in the car, was getting something out of the Maserati when it rolled into the water. Helicopter TV news recorded a diver searching in the water around the submerged car.
The car was eventually towed out of the water. No one was injured.
And the truck driver can say he reeled in the biggest catch of the day.
