Road reopens after bomb threat evacuated storage facility in Broward County, cops say
A North Broward storage facility was evacuated and a nearby road was shut down on Tuesday afternoon following reports of a bomb threat, according to authorities.
At 11:10 a.m., deputies responded to a bomb threat at Extra Space Storage near the 4900 block of North Dixie Highway in Oakland Park, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.
Northeast 11th Avenue between Prospect Road and Commercial Boulevard were closed. After 4:30 p.m., the roadway was opened as BSO’s bomb squad continued to investigate.
