Two people were shot and wounded near a Fort Lauderdale nightclub and bar early Wednesday morning, police said.

The Sway Nightclub and Booze Garden went from a fun, sociable environment to chaos around 2 a.m., when Fort Lauderdale police say one man was shot in the doorway and another was shot while sitting inside.

The suspect, who hasn’t been identified, then fled the nightclub, at 111 SW Second Ave. It is unclear what led to the shooting.

The injured men were taken to Broward Health Medical Center, police said, adding that their conditions are unknown.

Anyone with information that can help with the investigation should call police.

This is a developing story.
