Hazmat crews found drug residue that tested positive as fentanyl in a Broward home after four men were taken to the hospital Sunday evening, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

BSO Fire Rescue said two of the men were found in respiratory arrest, a life-threatening condition, and two were stable when taken to the hospital around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. As of Monday afternoon, BSO said one remained hospitalized.

The ages of the men ferried out of 1631 SW 40th Terr., a rental property just outside of Fort Lauderdale, were 26, 28, 30 and 39. Three days earlier, a group of students that included West Point cadets — one of whom was an Army football player — were hospitalized after overdosing on fentanyl-laced cocaine in Wilton Manors.

No arrests have been made in relation to Sunday’s incident.
