Davie two-car crash kills two men, sends another to the hospital, police say

Two men were killed in a two-car crash in Davie Tuesday night that led police to close a portion of Griffin Road.

Around 7 p.m., Davie police responded to a multi-car crash in the 7300 block of Griffin Road, police say.

A preliminary investigation shows that two men were driving west on Griffin Road when they made a left turn. As they turned, a man driving east T-boned the two men’s car, police said.

One of the two men died at the scene while the other later passed when taken to a hospital. The other driver, who did not have any passengers, was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating for possible speeding and impairment as the cause of the accident. Griffin Road’s eastbound and westbound lanes from the 7000 block to the 7700 block were shut down.
