Hollywood motel shooting left 1 teen dead, 1 hurt, cops say. 16-year-old charged with murder

Several days after a shooting at Hollywood motel left one teenager dead and another injured, police say they have identified and arrested the shooter.

On Monday, police said they were asking for the community’s help in finding 16-year-old Nicolas Al Mondesir. Mondesir is 6 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

After a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of premeditated murder and attempted murder, police said Mondesir was arrested on Tuesday. Police did not say where he was arrested.

The shooting happened Thursday at The Holiday Motel, 1804 Funston St.

According to police, a 911 call came in around 10:30 p.m. Thursday reporting a possible shooting.

When officers arrived they found two teenagers, a 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where the boy died. The girl’s current condition is not known.

Police did not say how Mondesir knew the victims, but did say “all parties involved in this incident are known to each other. “
