He tried snatching a 10-year-old in broad daylight, cops say. BSO needs help finding him.
Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a man accused of trying to kidnap a 10-year-old girl.
The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. on May 1 near the 8700 block of Watercrest Circle in Parkland.
A man dressed in all black attempted to snatch the child as she rode her bike, police say. He then fled the scene in a white midsize van.
Investigators have searched the Watercrest community, interviewed residents and recovered “a significant amount” of evidence since the attempted abduction, according to BSO. Even reviewing the video footage has proved not helpful in locating the suspect’s van.
BSO is asking anyone with information to call Detective Wilfredo Rivera at 954-321-4270. Those wishing to remain anonymous should contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
