He’s 80, partially blind, and needs his meds. That’s why police need help to find him

UPDATE: Fort Lauderdale police said Thursday night Vernel Joseph was found in “good condition.”

Fort Lauderdale police are asking for help to find a missing octogenarian who is partially blind and needs to take his blood pressure medication.

According to the department, Vernel Joseph, 80, was last seen on Tuesday, May 5, around 9 p.m. near 1600 S. Andrews Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.

Joseph is a black male, five-foot, three-inches tall, and weighs about 100 pounds.

The last time he was seen he was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. He has salt and pepper hair.

Police say it’s urgent that he’s found because of his health conditions and age.
