A 16-year-old was killed in a Deerfield Beach shooting. Deputies looking for a car.

A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach on Monday, and deputies are asking for help finding who shot him.

At about 2:34 a.m., Broward County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a shooting in Deerfield Beach, deputies said. When deputies responded to the call at 1335 S. Dixie Highway, they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took the boy to Broward Health North, where he died, deputies said.

Detectives are asking for help in identifying the subject’s vehicle, which is believed to be a silver or gray four-door hatchback, possibly a Toyota Prius.
