One dead after car struck while sitting on Brightline tracks. Drivers should avoid area
Drivers should stay away from the area around the Pompano Beach intersection of West Atlantic Boulevard and North Dixie Highway where a Brightline train struck a car on the tracks.
One person is dead from the 10:12 a.m. crash, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office. The cleanup and investigation likely will take hours.
