Man who chased down, shot another man is on the loose two months later, deputies say

It’s been two months since surveillance video captured a man chasing and shooting at another man in Pompano Beach.

Deputies haven’t caught him and need help.

On Nov. 10, security footage showed a man wearing all black going up to another man in a shopping plaza, at 251 S. Dixie Hwy., the Broward Sheriff’s Office said. As he walked up to him, the other man turned around and ran away.

As the suspect chased the man down, he shot at him several times, hitting him in the back of the head, deputies said.

The man was taken to Broward Health North, where he was treated and later released.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call BSO Pompano Beach Detective Stephen Hegedus at 954-321-4221. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.

A reward of up to $3,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest.
