Two schools in Pembroke Pines were briefly placed on a precautionary lockdown while police investigated two suspicious phone calls.
FSU Charter Middle School, 501 SW 172 Ave. and Franklin Academy, 5000 SW 207th Ter., were placed on lockdown shortly after 9 a.m., according to Pembroke Pines police.
Both schools received a suspicious phone call, said a Pembroke Pines spokeswoman. The schools are about 20 minutes from each other.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after 9:30 a.m.
“No crime or suspicious incident were determined to have taken place on either campus,” Pembroke Pines police said on Twitter.
