A masseur raped one of his customers, cops say. He claimed to be ‘releasing energy.’

A Broward County massage therapist is behind bars after police say he raped one of his customers.

Lung Chang, a 71-year-old employee at Ocean Drive Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Hallandale Beach, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of sexual battery, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

A probable cause affidavit says the incident took place April 30, 2018. The woman, who had scheduled an appointment for a myofascial release massage, was lying face down on the massage table when she felt Chang digitally penetrate her. He claimed to be “releasing energy,” detectives say.

The affidavit states the woman told Chang “this is not the type of massage I came here for,” kicked him and left.

It took the woman quite some time to report Chang because she was “suffering emotional distress from the incident,” police say.

Chang appeared in bond court Friday, according to WSVN 7News. Court records show a judge set his bond at $25,000.
