He robbed a Fort Lauderdale Subway twice in the same shoes. Police need help finding him

Fort Lauderdale police are searching for a man they believe robbed the same Subway twice.

The robberies took place within four days of each other, with the first occurring Oct. 8 and the second on Oct 12, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

Surveillance video from the first incident showed two unknown men entering the Subway at 201 E. Sunrise Blvd. just before 9:45 p.m. The men flashed a handgun at an employee and demanded money before fleeing.

The second robbery nearly followed the same template, with two exceptions: The suspect was alone and the robbery occurred at roughly 10:30 p.m.

Police say the same man committed the robberies because he wore the same dark-colored Fila shoes during both incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective E. Kirtman at 954-828-6070.
