A male bicyclist was killed Sunday afternoon after crashing with a Broward County truck in Tamarac, deputies say.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, a traffic crash was reported at around 2:40 p.m. Sunday near North State Road 7 and Northwest 49th Street.

The victim— who has only been identified as a male — died on the scene, said BSO spokesman Donald Prichard.

“His age is still unknown,” Prichard said Sunday evening. “We do not know if he is a juvenile at this time.”

BSO homicide detectives were still on scene hours after the crash. It’s not clear if charges will be filed against the person driving the Broward County bucket truck.
