SUV heading in the wrong direction on I-95 causes four-car crash. The driver is dead

An SUV driving in the wrong direction collided with three other cars on Interstate 95 near Dania Beach early Saturday morning.

Just after 2 a.m., the driver of a gray KIA Rio was heading south in a northbound lane, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The KIA collided with a Toyota Yaris, KIA Forte and Honda Civic shortly after.

The driver of the Rio was killed, while two people in the Yaris and two people in the Forte suffered minor injuries, FHP said.

Local 10 reported that the all of northbound I-95 was shut down while the crash was being cleared and investigated.
