He took a gun from a car, police say. What he didn’t know was that the camera was rolling

UPDATE: Pembroke Pines police announced Thursday they arrested Michael Stratos after tips came in regarding the car burglary.

The video is clear.

A man can be seen inside a car, taking a gun from what appears to be a lock box.

The problem, police say: It wasn’t his car or his gun.

On Wednesday, police released the video in hopes of identifying the man.

Pembroke Pines police say just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday the man broke into the car parked in the Chapel Oaks community, Northwest 188th Terrace and Northwest Fifth Street.
