Post threatening to ‘shoot up’ Miramar high school being investigated, cops say

Miramar police said late Wednesday it is investigating after the department became aware of a social media post threatening to “shoot up” Everglades High School.

“The student who allegedly made the threat has been identified and is currently being interviewed by detectives,” the department tweeted just before 11 p.m.

It was not clear whether the threat referred to a specific day or time.

The department said the “investigation to determine the credibility of the threat is ongoing.”

No other information was immediately available.
