A man fishing off Pompano Beach reeled in a big one — but it wasn't a fish
A man fishing off Pompano Beach had the catch of the day. But it wasn't what he was expecting.
To Jorge Bustamante's surprise on Monday, he caught a "square grouper" — or a bale of marijuana.
"They came to commandeer my Pablo Escobar birthday gift," he said in a video as he showed the Coast Guard boat that came to pick up the drugs and then the bale of marijuana itself.
"Nah, we called them. Still cool."
