The perfumes at Walgreens are in glass display cases, behind the counter, for a reason.
But that did not stop someone from reaching over, grabbing pricey perfume bottles and making off with more than $1,000 in high-end perfumes, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
On Thursday, BSO released surveillance video of the heist, which happened at about 4 p.m. Oct. 10 at the store at 7105 W. McNab Road in North Lauderdale.
The video showed a man reaching over the counter into the glass case to get some merchandise, retreating and then doing the same thing a couple of times. Detectives say he was working with a woman, who kept an eye out for employees.
The pair left with nearly 20 bottles of perfume and cologne, BSO said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Det. Lisa Sokol at 954-722-5800 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
