They were getting manicures. Then a car drove into the salon.
It was a Monday afternoon spa day gone wrong.
An elderly woman, who was not named, drove her car into a Hallandale Beach nail salon around 1 p.m. Monday, leaving three injured, fire rescue officials said. The building at 2500 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd. was also damaged.
Only one customer — a 23-year-old woman — was taken to Aventura Medical Center. The other two customers were evaluated and released. The driver of the car refused medical assistance.
The TK Nail Salon is closed pending repairs, and was evaluated by both structural and electrical inspectors.
