Police looking for a man who quickly stole cash and a car at a Shop Fast
An man arrived at a Fort Lauderdale convenience store without money or getaway transportation Thursday morning. Fort Lauderdale police are looking for him after he used a gun to steal both.
With a towel wrapped loosely around his face like a rushed bandit, the robber entered the Shop Fast, 1417 N. Dixie Hwy., around 10:50 a.m. A silver revolver to the store clerk’s head persuaded the worker to turn over the cash register’s contents.
Then, after some dawdling inside the store, the criminal went to the parking lot and put the gun on a man standing next to his car. The carjacking gave the criminal a getaway car he left behind in the 1600 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue.
Anyone with information on this armed robbery can contact Fort Lauderdale police Det. Michael Benson at 954-828-6561.
