Truck crashes into power lines in Broward, causing live wires to fall on several homes
A truck hit some residential power lines in Fort Lauderdale Saturday afternoon, causing live wires to fall down on several homes, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
Spokesman Mike Jachles tweeted that the collision had affected about 20 homes on the block at Northwest 29th Avenue and Northwest Fourth Street in Fort Lauderdale and warned residents to stay inside until further notice.
Jachles wrote that sheriff’s deputies had notified Florida Power and Light and that they were working to restore power.
