Pompano Beach man stabbed to death by his step-brother
A Pompano Beach man was charged with murder after an argument with his step-brother took a fatal turn.
Step-brothers Micheal Canning, 27, and Jermaine Joyner, 24, lived with their uncle in the 100 block of Southwest 14th Court in Pompano Beach, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
The stabbing occurred Tuesday night at their home when an argument over drugs escalated. Canning took out a knife and stabbed his step-brother multiple times, according to BSO. It is not clear whether the uncle was home or not during the incident.
Joyner was transported to Broward Health North in Pompano Beach, where he died. Canning remained at the home, police said. He surrendered and is being held without bond in the Broward Main Jail.
