A 20-year-old Pembroke Pines man was in jail Wednesday after inappropriately grabbing or slapping at least three women while they were running or walking in the Rock Creek subdivision of Cooper City, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth Anthony Lopez, 20, was arrested and charged with five counts of simple battery. He remained in jail on a $5,000 bond.

According to the BSO, Detectives were in the area Tuesday night after a woman called 911 to report that “a man walked up behind her and grabbed her left buttock” as she walked on the Stonebridge Parkway.

She described him as wearing a blue hat and dark clothing with curly hair. Deputies located Lopez, who admitted to touching the woman, according to BSO.

Three similar reports from other women walking in the neighborhood were filed.

Anyone with information on the case can call BSO Det. Chad Strachan at 954-435-2200.
