Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash in Dania Beach

The Broward Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a 2014-2015 Chevy Impala LTZ — similar to the one pictured — who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist dead in Dania Beach Sunday morning.

A bicyclist was killed early Sunday after a car slammed into him and then took off, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The hit-and-run accident happened at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday on State Road 84 and Ravenswood Road in Dania Beach.

According to BSO, the bike rider was heading east on State Road 84 when he was hit from behind by a 2014-2015 Chevy Impala LTZ. Detectives do not know the color of the vehicle, but said there should be heavy damage to the front passenger side. A fog light cover was left at the accident scene.
