Apparent burglar fatally shot by N. Lauderdale resident, Sheriff's Office says

A homeowner shot and killed someone who was apparently trying to break into his home early Friday, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to the residence at 8161 SW 11 Street about 3 a.m. An investigation at the scene of the shooting is continuing.
