One dead, three injured in early-morning shooting at strip club

An early morning shooting at Broward’s Club 54 left four people wounded — one eventually died from the injuries.

Lauderhill police tweeted that the fourth victim died, the others were hospitalized and the investigation is continuing at the strip club, located at 3135 W. Broward Blvd.

One of the victims might have been a security guard for the club, reported Miami Herald news partner CBS4.

“He got shot trying to provide for his family,” a Lauderhill officer told the station.

George Davis, a nearby resident, told CBS4 the shots came in spaced out bursts.

“A lot of shots, man. A lot of shots. Like you’re in the army,” Davis said. “Bam, bam, bam, a couple of minutes you hear, slowed down again, then a couple more minutes you hear shots again, shots again.”
